League Coach:    Wayne Bonjour

Wayne Bonjour comes to Coolbinia West Perth AFC in 2017 with tremendous enthusiasm to develop the playing group not just as football players, but as people.

Wayne began his playing days with WAFL Club Subiaco, playing a mixture of Colts & Reserves football before moving to West Coast Cowan in the WAAFL. Following a stint at country teams Toodyay and Gingin, Wayne returned to playing football in Perth, playing with Stirling and Kingsley Football Clubs.

It was in 2013 that Wayne moved into coaching, with his appointment as League Assistant Coach at Stirling. In an effort to challenge himself Wayne became League Coach at Osborne Park for 2014 and 2015 seasons. Those two seasons saw Wayne drive some real improvement, with Osborne Park recording 9 wins in 2014, and 13 in 2015.

In 2017, Wayne seeks to make sure that as League Coach of Coolbinia West Perth that goals are set and to ensure players and assistant coaches are all striving in the same direction. Wayne sets clear guidelines for trust, cooperation, understanding and expectation, as it relates to discipline, teamwork and communication between all parties.

With all this in mind, Coolbinia West Perth AFC and Wayne are very well prepared excited for a successful season 2017!!

Assistant: Tony Ricciardello

Assistant: Steve Betts

Reserves Coach:       Anthony Morgan

After 3 seasons as the Coolbinia West Perth Thirds Coach, Anthony Morgan steps up into the Reserves Position for the 2017 season.

Anthony is a Life Member of Coolbinia West Perth having played for the Club as Osborne Districts in the pre-merger days prior to 2003 and is therefore one of the most familiar faces around our Club. Anthony has been a dedicated player for almost 20 years and very rarely missed a training session.

Anthony built up the Coolbinia West Perth Thirds team over the past 3 seasons, building a base of players around key pillars, such as communication, honesty and integrity. With Anthony believing that good people will bring good results (and some wily old veterans on the way!) the 2016 Season culminated in Anthony finally receiving his first premiership medallion at the Club after 342 games!

Looking for a further challenge in his coaching career, Anthony brings the same enthusiasm and desire for success to the Coolbinia West Perth Reserves team for 2017, although his playing days may be over. The Club and Anthony look forward to further developing people and having on field success in 2017.

Assistant: Daniel Mahar

Thirds Coach:       Phil De'Souza

Coolbinia West Perth AFC is pleased to announce Phil De Souza as the Thirds Coach for the 2017 Season!

Taking over from Anthony Morgan, Phil is a 92 game veteran of Coolbinia West Perth after coming from Wembley in 2009. Phil has been a wall in the backline of the Thirds team for the past few years, although managing to sneak forward and kick the occasional goal! The undoubted highlight of Phil’s time at Coolbinia West Perth however has been his participating in the 2016 Thirds Premiership!

In 2017 Phil will bring a sense of calm over the Thirds team with his ability to read the play and setup the team structurally like no other. Like Wayne and Anthony, Phil is a keen developer in the player as a person, not just the footballer.

The Club looks forward to working with Phil and continuing to run a successful Thirds team in 2017 and beyond.

Integrated Coach:     John Stone

Coolbinia West Perth Super Coach John Stone returns for his fourth season as Integrated Coach in 2017!

John has been the foundations to which Coolbinia West Perth’s Integrated Program has been built on since its inception in 2014, with his tireless work ethic and dedication to developing not just to developing our Integrated players football skills, but their life skills as well.

No challenge is too big or too small for John as he immerses himself entirely into each and every one of his players to ensure they all get the maximum out of themselves they possibly can. John is universally renowned within Integrated football coaches as an astute and endearing coach to all players within the competition.

The Club is indebted to the work John has done for the past three years, and looks forward to the impending fourth season with John as the Integrated team chases back to back to back Premiership flags.
