League Coach:   Luke Douglas

After a late change of coaches in the 2019 Pre-Season, Luke Douglas stepped in to Coach the League Team at short notice in 2019. After a shaky start, where the League Team slipped to 0-5, the team recovered magnificently to finish the H&A season with a 10-8 record and finish 5th on the ladder. Unfortunately the team was knocked out in the first week of finals, defeated by Dianella-Morley.

Reserves Coach:       Lindsay Marinkovich

After a successful debut season as Coach in 2018, Lindsay Marinkovich takes the helm of the Reserves again in 2019.

Marinkovich started playing with Coolbinia AFC in 1988, back when part of the Club was still known as Mt Hawthorn-West Perth AFC and played out of Beatty Park Reserve!

Marinkovich has had a storied career with the Club over the past 29 years, experiencing almost all the highs and lows the Club has had in that time.

Certainly, two of his greatest highs have come in the final decade of his career; the breakthrough 2011 C2 Premiership Flag in which he was a player (his first Premiership in all years of playing), and the 2016 E3 Premiership Flag.

However, Marinkovich has been known in the latter stages of his career for his more ‘educatory’ role on the field, guiding our young up and coming players and helping them develop into accountable and resilient players for Coolbinia AFC.

Finally, at the age of 48, Marinkovich has hung up the boots, and will continue to Coach an exciting group of players in the Reserves cohort for 2019.

Thirds Coach:       Phil De'Souza

Coolbinia AFC is pleased to announce Phil De Souza will continue as Thirds Coach for the 2019 Season!

Having taken over from Anthony Morgan for the 2017 season, Phil is a 100 game plus veteran of Coolbinia after coming from Wembley in 2009. Phil has been a wall in the backline of the Thirds team for the past few years, although managing to sneak forward and kick the occasional goal! The undoubted highlight of Phil’s time at Coolbinia however was his key role in the 2016 Thirds Premiership team!

In 2019 Phil will continue to develop a and build a team that upholds the ethos and strong culture of the Club. Most of all, Thirds football will be fun, and will cater for players of all abilities.

The Club looks forward to working with Phil and continuing to run a successful Thirds team in 2019 and beyond.

Integrated Coach:     John Stone

Coolbinia AFC Integrated Super Coach John Stone returns for an incredible sixth consecutive season as Integrated Coach in 2019!

John has been the foundations to which Coolbinia's Integrated Program has been built on since its inception in 2014, with his tireless work ethic and dedication to developing not just to developing our Integrated players football skills, but their life skills as well.

No challenge is too big or too small for John as he immerses himself entirely into each and every one of his players to ensure they all get the maximum out of themselves they possibly can. John is universally renowned within Integrated football coaches as an astute and endearing coach to all players within the competition.

The Club is indebted to the work John has done for the past five years, and he and the players have seen just rewards with back to back to back to back flags in 2015/16/17/18.
